You can permanently delete your Gathrly host account and everything in it, at any time, directly from the app — no need to contact us.
This page exists as a reference (and for anyone who can no longer open the app). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
On iPhone (iOS app):
- Open Gathrly and go to the Settings tab
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm — your account is deleted immediately
On Android:
The Gathrly Android app is in development and not yet available. Once it launches, deletion works the same way: Settings → Delete Account.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, immediately:
- Your account and profile (sign-in identity, name, email)
- Every event/gallery you created, and their QR codes and share links
- Every photo guests uploaded to your events
- Guestbook messages left on your events
- Device push-notification tokens registered to your account
- Payment records for your events on Gathrly — we do not keep a copy once your account is deleted
Photos and other files are removed from our storage shortly after deletion (a daily cleanup job runs the removal, so it can take up to a day, but never longer).
What is not deleted
Nothing about your Gathrly account is kept on our side — this is a full account deletion, not a deactivation. The one thing outside our control: if you purchased a plan, Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) keeps their own purchase/billing records under their own policies, since they process the payment, not us. Deleting your Gathrly account does not remove your purchase history from your Apple ID or Google account.
Can't open the app?
If you no longer have access to the app or your device, email us at hello@gathrly.my from the address linked to your account (or include your event name/date) and we will delete your account manually.
